The challenge
TCLA needed a dedicated resource for aspiring lawyers to easily view, compare, and track application status for different UK law firms, which was not feasible with their existing resource base.
The solution
We designed and built a custom law firm directory platform that acts as a central dashboard for applicants and a showcase for firms, incorporating custom filtering, favoriting, polling, and and integration with the XenForo community.
The results
The directory became a go-to tool for aspiring corporate lawyers, replacing fragmented research and manual outreach with a single, searchable resource that simplified applications and made firm comparisons faster and more informed.

The Corporate Law Academy (TCLA) is a UK-based platform focused on providing education and career development opportunities for aspiring corporate lawyers. It primarily supports law students, graduates, and early-career professionals. TCLA offers various resources and training, including:

A New Resource
TCLA wanted to add another essential resource: a law firm directory. This would be a space for firms to highlight their company to potential applicants and act as a place for applicants to view and compare different law firms in an easy-to-use dashboard. - Firm Profiles: Detailed profiles giving insight into the firm’s culture, values, and specializations.
- Favoriting: Ability to favorite firms and have a quick list of firms you’d like to apply to.
- Rich Sorting Options: The ability to sort firms by salary, practice area, application process, and more.
- Polling: Users are prompted to complete a poll regarding their application status (plan to apply, applied, stage reached). The results show live.
- Profile Alerts: Users can receive alerts related to polls, upcoming events, and new opportunities for their favorite firms.
- Community Integration: The latest responses from Q&As with the firm, mentions of them at TCLA, and upcoming events like application deadlines.
